Vienna is famous as the 'City of Music', where many musicians such as Mozart and Beethoven were active, but the city is also highly regarded for the beauty of its urban architecture, and in 2001 the Historic Centre of Vienna (Old City) was registered as a UNESCO cultural heritage site.
Historically, the city has been under the rule of the Habsburgs since the 13th century, and as the Habsburgs developed and reigned at the head of the Holy Roman Empire, Vienna became the capital of the Empire, generating a flourishing aristocratic culture.
At the turn of the 20th century, the city's population exceeded two million, making it one of the largest cities in Europe at the time, alongside London, Paris and Berlin.
The historic buildings and stone-paved streets of Vienna's Old City have been preserved as a cultural heritage, and give a sense of aristocratic life today. We look forward to hearing from you about the photo wedding in the Old City of Vienna.
